Los Chorros
This is a natural retreat located just under 3 Kilometers from Grecia. Located in Tacares, Costa Rica many visitors are enchanted by the sounds and sights of the Los Chorros waterfall. On the walking paths you can appreciate nature, be seduced by the sound of the river and find peace with the songs of the birds. Los Chorros has two magnificent waterfalls for your viewing and playful pleasure.

Poas vulcano,
This national park is home to one of the world’s most accessible active volcanoes, with a history of eruptions that goes back eleven million years. Its last eruption was in January 1910, but if you are lucky, you might see its crater, said to be the second largest in the world, throwing steam and muddy water into the air.The 30-minute drive from the B & B Garden Grecia Inn to the volcano takes you through beautiful countryside views. Once you arrive, it’s only a few minutes walk to the crater. If you feel like it, you can take an easy one-hour walk around the park, on a path that goes through the volcanic cloud forest, inhabited by rare birds and small animals. There you can also see the old Poas crater, now filled with turquoise blue water, which is called Botos Lake. Don’t forget your camera to capture all these amazing views! After the walk, you can relax with a cup of coffee in the park cafeteria, get more information about the park and volcanoes in general, and stock up on nice souvenirs in the gift shop.In order to have a better chance of seeing the crater, it's best to leave early in the morning, around 8 am. This way we can beat the clouds that usually rush in after 10 am. Bring comfortable shoes, an umbrella/poncho in case of rain, a jacket (it can get cool up there), sunblock and water. As this tour leaves early in the morning, you can easily combine it with our other tours in the neighborhood, like La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Canopy Las Colinas and also a visit on one of the best souvenir shops in Poas.

La Paz Waterfall Gardens
One of Costa Rica’s most popular attractions, La Paz Waterfall Gardens is 9.3 miles (15 km) east of Volcano Poas. With over 70 acres (28 hectares) of wildlife and forest to explore, La Paz allows visitors to wander through 2 miles (3.5 km) of paved trails, which take you below, above and right next to five awesome waterfalls. The paths wind along the La Paz River, going through the cloud forest as well as through rain forest. You can also visit a butterfly observatory, hummingbird garden (home to sixteen different species), jungle cat exhibit (home to Ocelot, Margay and Jaguarundi), aviary, frog pond, monkeys’ house, snakes and more! So much to see, and then you can take a break and relax while enjoying your buffet lunch at the beautiful Colibris Restaurant.

Quetzal Tour, Costa Rica
This early morning excursion will take you through the numerous trails.
The famous Resplendent Quetzal is seen year round but April and May are the best months to spot the striking birds. However, these highlands are also the natural habitat of an immense diversity of flora and fauna.
You will also see hundreds of species of bromelias, lichen, moss, ferns, and a multitude of orchids and colorful flowers such as guesneracias.
The hike will take approximately 2 hours, led by a professional bird guide , he will provide detailed explications along the way.

Sarchi is known as Costa Rica’s center for the arts and crafts, especially furniture making and ox-cart making. From Grecia we take a small winding road through the surrounding villages. In Sarchi, we visit the church, built in the 1950s, painted pink with aquamarine trimming, and recalling a child’s birthday cake. Next to the church, we visit the world’s biggest ox-cart. Afterwards, we venture into the oldest functioning ox-cart factory, where all the machinery is powered by a water wheel. In the factory, you will witness every step of the ox-cart making process, including the intricate design painting

Elze Kienzler Botanical Garden
Originally started in 1998, the garden now occupies 17 acres (7 hectares) of land. The garden was created by Ludwig Kientzler, to demonstrate the diversity of tropical plants. The garden currently boasts a varied collection of more than 2,000 plants, coming from places such as Guyana, New Zealand, Madagascar, Japan, Java, India and others. It’s an excellent place for a picnic. A guided tour is available for an extra fee.

Doka Coffee plantation Tour
Doka Coffee plantation is situated in the coffee capital of Costa Rica, Sabanilla, Alajuela. The farm was founded by the pioneers of coffee production in Costa Rica, the Vargas Ruiz family, who have been in the business for more than 70 years. In 2000 and 2001 Doka Estate won the award for the best coffee estate of Costa Rica, and its Tres Generaciones Coffee is one of the most well-known and respected brands.The Doka Coffee Plantation tour aims to educate and inform visitors about the whole production process as well as the processing of coffee. During the tour you will learn about the production, harvesting, processing and roasting of the coffee beans.

Zarcero
The town has a beautiful cottage style church. Admirers of religious architecture will be delighted by the interior of the church which is covered with detailed religious paintings and elaborate pastel stencil work. Standing right in front of the San Rafael church is the famed topiary garden of ‘Parque Francisco Alvarado’. Sixteen green arches stand before the church, inviting you to the evergreen paradise around it. Offering a series of vibrant shrubbery, sculptured and clipped into whimsical shapes, the garden is a must-see. Well-manicured shrubs in the park are fashioned as animals, dancers and oxcarts. You will even find a dinosaurs, helicopter, airplane and even Christ carrying a cross.
